Dr. Richard Brunson currently serves as Assistant Professor of Music at the University of Wisconsin - Marshfield/Wood County campus where he conducts the Marshfield Symphony Orchestra, Marshfield Symphonic Band, the Concert Choir and teaches Freshman/Sophomore theory core classes, History of Rock and Music Appreciation.  He also serves on the board of the Chestnut Center for the Arts.

The Taylorsville Symphony Orchestra began in 2004 as a community  arts outreach organization for the City of Taylorsville, UT.  It quickly grew in size and musicianship.  Salt Lake Community College approached the orchestra to request that its music students who wanted orchestral playing experience be allowed to be a part of the ensemble for credit.  That partnership has proved fruitful for both the College and the orchestra.
